Dosage and Administration

Sildenafil is administered orally. For adults, the recommended starting dose is 50 mg, taken approximately 1 hour before sexual activity. Based on effectiveness and tolerance, the dose may be increased to 100 mg or decreased to 25 mg.

• Maximum recommended dose: 100 mg
• Maximum recommended frequency: Once per day

Side Effects

The most common side effects are mild headaches and indigestion. Other common side effects include back pain, muscle pain, nasal congestion, and facial flushing. These side effects are generally mild and temporary. Once the active ingredient is metabolized, the body returns to normal with no lasting harm. No need to worry!

Contraindications

• Not suitable for: Individuals with heart disease, low blood pressure, high blood pressure, or renal impairment.
• Drug interactions: Should not be used in combination with nitrate medications.
